ATM Cassette Locking Bars
Protect Your Cash With ATM Cassette Locking Bars
ATM cassette locking bars protect your cash at its most vulnerable - when the ATM safe door is open during loading.
ATM cassette locking bars have saved £12 million in more than 100 attacks.
Up to 6,000 have been installed - a tried and tested defence, endorsed by major cash in transit groups.
ATM Cassette Locking Bars - How They Work
ATM cassette locking bars allow access to only one cash cassette at a time.
They are controlled by electronic time delay. So once a cassette has been removed for cash replenishment then replaced, it cannot then be removed again until a pre-defined period of time has passed.
This means that criminals cannot pull out all four ATM cassettes at once - but cash in transit teams can still fit new cassettes quickly and easily.
Having opened the safe door, cash in transit teams simply:
- use the locking bars key to de-activate the electronic lock on one bar
- remove the locking bar and the cassette behind it
- slide in a new cassette and replace the locking bar
- repeat the process for each cassette.
