About Us

Test Link Services Ltd is an independent company founded in 1989 and managed by its founding directors. Employing over 120 staff in Europe and operating from two repair centres in UK and Czech Republic, each is fully resourced with trained personnel.

Test Link is well positioned to serve the broad markets of the UK, Ireland, mainland Europe and the Nordic countries. TestLink's operation in Czech Republic further provides easy logistics to mainland Europe and advantageous labour rates of Central Europe.

Chairman

Nick Beer

Nick's career in electronic test and repair started in Military Communication with an apprenticeship at Phillips Crawley. Nick moved to Plessey as design engineer and author of test suites for advanced telecommunication products. Joining Schlumberger Technologies, Nick was responsible for sales and marketing of automatic test products, promoting solutions to large blue chip electronic manufactures all over the world.

In 1989 Nick founded TestLink with Greg Hughes (Managing Director), and holds the post of Chairman, identifying new markets and technologies for TestLink to address. With his 30 years of experience Nick contributes the vision to lead TestLink into a world class global service solution company.

Managing Director

Greg Hughes

Greg started his career with an avionics apprenticeship at A&AEE Boscombe Down specialising in developing and certifying aircraft for the UK Royal Air Force. He moved to Racal Automation and then Schlumberger Technologies supporting Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) used by the leading manufacturers in Defence, Automotive, Computing and Communications industries. These roles gave an insight into the leading manufacturing methods and systems.

In 1989 Greg founded TestLink with Nick Beer (TestLink Chairman) and set about developing test capabilities and a bespoke enterprise management system around which TestLink very successfully operates its business. TestLink has grown and diversified but remains faithful to the core competence of manufacturing and test.

Financial Director

Nicola Paterson

Nicola started her career within the Accounts profession 12 years ago as a sales ledger clerk. The majority of her career was working for Schlumberger Oil Services in Scotland, where she had the opportunity to experience many different aspects within the Financial department from Revenue Accountant, Treasury Accountant to becoming the youngest Management Accountant within the Company. On moving south of the border, Nicola was headhunted into the Roadside Assistance and then Retail, where her experience was progressed into Business and Financial Analysis. With Nicola's broad Accounting experience, she is well positioned to support TestLinks' rapid Business growth as a member of the Management team.

Frantisek Lorenc

Frantisek started his career in sales eventually leading the sales organisation in a mobile phone operation. The rapid growth of mobile business in the Czech Republic brought about new exciting opportunities in service sector where Frantisek spent several years until he became Managing Director of a company that was part of an international group leading repair of mobile phones in Central Europe. Frantisek brings to TestLink a considerable experience in developing a robust and efficient electronic equipment service organisation.
