TestLink Services Ltd has recently completed the replication of its successful and expanding UK ATM and module refurbishment facility, in Prague, Czech Republic.
Whilst many companies seek simply to take advantage of the cost savings possible by moving their operations to a lower labour cost region, TestLink has seized the geographic opportunity to broaden its full ATM refurbishment and module service offering to mainland Europe and beyond.
"ATMs by their very nature are large heavy items and transport costs are not insignificant," said TestLink Chairman Nick Beer.
He added: "Offering our quality refurbishment services to European based OEMs and deployers would not have been cost effective without a strong mainland Europe operation."
In choosing to base its operation in Prague, TestLink is able to capitalise on the strong technical workforce of the Czech Republic, while being centrally located within mainland Europe simplifies the transport and movement of heavy equipment. Most importantly it allows TestLink to pass on around 30% cost savings to its new EMEA customer base.
This opportunity has previously been recognised by Mike Snell, former NCR Director Services Logistics EMEA, who said: "The move to Prague has already shown significant cost saving and will support NCR's ability to provide quality logistics support across Europe and the UK." |
