TestLink Services Ltd have recently completed the replication of their successful and expanding UK ATM and module refurbishment facility, in Prague, Czech Republic.
Whilst many companies seek simply to take advantage of the cost savings possible by moving their operation to a lower labour cost region, TestLink have seized the geographic opportunity to broaden their full ATM refurbishment and module service offering, to mainland Europe and beyond.
"ATMs by their very nature are large heavy items and transport costs are not insignificant", says Nick Beer Chairman of TestLink, he goes on, "offering our quality refurbishment services to European based OEMs and Deployers would not have been cost effective without a strong mainland Europe operation".
In choosing to base their operation from Prague, TestLink are able to capitalise on the strong technical workforce of the Czech Republic, whilst being centrally located within mainland Europe simplifies the transport and movement of heavy equipment. Most importantly it allows them to pass on around 30% cost savings to their new EMEA customer base.
This opportunity has previously been recognised by Mike Snell, former NCR Director Services Logistics EMEA, who has been quoted as saying, "the move to Prague has already shown significant cost saving and will support NCR's ability to provide quality logistics support across Europe and the UK". |
