This full-time Engineering Apprenticeship is based in our Poole head office. This is not an average apprenticeship, it’s your chance to take the first steps of a successful career within Engineering.

What will the apprenticeship involve?
You will be based in our Production Team learning each area of the refurbishment and repair function in full. You’ll gain responsibility for a wide range of tasks, including; disassembling, assessing, cleaning, reassembling and testing ATM electronics components and module parts. In addition to developing engineering skills you’ll be given opportunities to develop commercial acumen and soft skills such as delivering presentations and training others.
Alongside the training and mentoring you’ll receive at TestLink, you’ll spend one day per week at Bournemouth & Poole Colleague, participating in lessons and workshops. After 24 months you will achieve a qualification covering these main topics;
• Using and communicating technical information
• Produce Mechanical engineering drawings using a CAD system
• Producing Mechanical Assemblies
• Principles of Engineering Technology
• Maintenance of mechanical devices and equipment
Is this role right for you?
To get the most from this apprenticeship opportunity, you’ll need good organisational skills, great attention to detail, good mechanical aptitude and be comfortable using different tooling and equipment. You have a logical approach and a natural interest in how things work.
This is a proactive and hands-on role and would suit you if you have a passion for engineering and want to build a career.
You’ll need a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or 4 and above or equivalent, including English, Maths.
