What will your role be?
You will play a vital role in the delivery of our managed inventory service. You’ll be leading and developing an on-site team who have responsibility for the receiving and dispatching of customer goods as well as responding to customer queries over the phone, email and in person. In addition to our onsite warehouse and storage, you’ll have responsibility for ensuring our multiple unmanned regional stocking locations are correctly stocked and that the service provided by our external logistics supplier is running smoothly.
You’ll be able to demonstrate accuracy of stock management and ensure that the system is maintained and accurate. You will identify and assist in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives as well as deliver a quality service through observation of best working practices at all times.
Is this role right for you?
To succeed in this role you’ll need experience in a warehouse or inventory management role, have knowledge of warehousing best practice and be passionate about continuous improvement. You don’t need to have used our exact systems (FileMaker), but you will need to be IT literate and able to adapt to new systems easily.
You’ll need a motivational and collaborative leadership style as well as strong communication skills and a customer focused approach. You are just as comfortable coordinating a team as you are liaising with logistics suppliers.
If you have warehouse and inventory management experience, great. If it was gained within an repair service environment, even better. This is an office-based role, working Monday – Friday from our Warehouse in Bournemouth and Head Office in Poole. Some of your teams work a 4on/4off shift pattern. So the ability to work additional hours on occasion is a benefit.
