Quality & Reliability Manager
Location Poole, Dorset
Salary £30000 to £40000
Are you an experienced Quality or Reliability professional looking to take the next step in your career? We have a great opportunity for a bright and ambitious Engineer or Technician with experience in a mechanical or electromechanical environment. Over 30 years ago we had a vision, to build one of the biggest and best ATM parts and service businesses in the world. We are now looking for a talented Quality & Reliability Manager to help us in our journey to achieving this goal.
Is this a company you can advance your career with?
You will be supported by our years of experience and will benefit from the knowledge that has been built up through our growth so far; thriving through two recessions and expanding into Europe and the USA. But, like many successful companies in the Finance Technology industry, we know that continued evolution and innovation are vital. You'll be joining a forward-thinking culture, a place where you can learn and progress, but also be supported in implementing your own ideas.
What will your role be?
You'll have full ownership of the quality control and quality assurance functions and play a key part in our mission to maximise the life and availability of ATMs.
Together with your team of Quality Technicians you’ll deliver the company’s pre-screening function, collating and analysing data to identify opportunities for parts usage reductions. You’ll partner with multiple departments to deliver improvement projects; such as working with the Engineering and Purchasing teams on new supplier approvals, or the Production to modify standard operating processes.
You will also have responsibility for the management of our ISO9001 and ISO14001 accreditations, conducting internal audits, advising managers and updating documentation.
Is this role right for you?
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have a track record of delivering quality and reliability improvements on electromechanical parts or assemblies. You’ll have an analytical approach, comfortable using quality tools and performing root cause analysis and have a knack for spotting trends and patterns in large data sets.
You’ll need to be assertive and diplomatic, with the ability to tailor your communication style when working with people at all levels both internal and external to the organisation. Similarly, you’ll have a management style that will develop and nurture a diverse team.
This is a varied role with a wide remit and would suit you if you have a strategic approach and get that buzz from instigating improvement and achieving targets.
If you have quality and reliability management experience, great. If it was gained within an engineering business, even better. If you already have a related professional qualification, perfect! But if you don't, let's arrange a chat and we can discuss how your skills and experience could help TestLink grow.
This is an office-based role, working from our Head Office in Poole, with regular visits to our site in South Wales and occasional visits to supplier and customer sites.
As well as success, job satisfaction, opportunities for training and self-development, you'll also get;
- Salary £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
- Competitive pension, life assurance and other company benefits
- Flexi-time, employee recognition awards, long service bonuses, rising holiday allowance and company and team events
