This full-time Software Development Apprenticeship is based in our Poole head office. This is not an average apprenticeship, it’s your chance to take the first steps of a successful career within Software Development

What will the apprenticeship involve?
You will be part of our internal Software Development team, supporting your colleagues across multiple sites. You will spend time assisting with the monitoring of our System Support tickets and you’ll respond to bug fixes and user queries as you develop your skills and knowledge on the job. You’ll then begin to modify and develop our systems in line with evolving requirements, and you will even take on your own projects and getting to work with every stage of the software development lifecycle.
Alongside the training and mentoring you’ll receive at TestLink, you’ll spend one day per week at Bournemouth & Poole Colleague, participating in lessons and workshops. After 18 months you will achieve a qualification covering these main topics;
• Coding, logic and standards
• Secure Development principles
• User interfaces
• Data and Analysis
• Quality and Business Processes
Is this role right for you?
To get the most from this apprenticeship opportunity, you’ll need good organisational skills, great attention to detail and strong communication skills. You will be comfortable speaking with colleagues from all parts of the business. This is a proactive and hands-on role and would suit you if you have a passion for coding and technology and want to build a career.
You’ll need a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or 4 and above or equivalent, including English, Maths and either Science or IT. Ideally, you will have either a minimum of two A levels (or equivalent) at least one in a related subject to IT.
