ATM Buyers' GuideHow To Save Up To 70% ATMsTestLink makes it easy for banks, independent ATM deployers and other clients to source high quality remanufactured ATMs at cost savings of up to 70 per cent. Which ATM Models Meet Your Needs?Manufacturers are naturally keen to sell you their latest models but do you really need all the features on offer? Is there an opportunity to dramatically reduce your costs without compromising quality or relaibility in any way? Our expert ATM sales team will help you source the Through The Wall and Lobby ATMs that best suit your specific needs. These are some of the questions you will need to consider when buying ATMs:
Through The Wall v Lobby ATMs - which type is best for you?Though The Wall ATMs are exactly what the name implies. Installing this type of ATM requires cutting a hole in a wall of a building. This requires planning permission, construction work and higher levels of security while installation is in progress. They tend to be bigger and more secure. They are generally also more robust in terms of their internal engineering. More space inside enables manufacturers to use bigger, stronger components. Though The Wall ATMs generally hold more money but this is not always the case. They tend to have more functionality such as note acceptance and envelope deposit capability. They are also more likely to offer statement printing. Lobby ATMs are standalone units that are bolted to the floor inside buildings. They can be deployed much more swiftly than Through The Wall ATMs because they are much easier to install and generally do not require planning permission. Being smaller, Lobby ATMs are more likely to be filled with cash by their operators, rather than a third party. They tend to hold less cash (although some Lobby ATMs are capable of holding four cash cassettes like the larger Through The Wall ATMs). Lobby ATMs will typically offer less functionality than a Through The Wall ATM although some have the facility to print statements. Lobby ATMs, being sited internally, tend to be less vulnerable to skimming attacks. However, they may need greater protection from ram-raid attacks. How much cash? How many ATM cassettes?Footfall and transaction volume will determine how much cash each of your remanufactured ATMs will need to hold. That means deciding whether you need a two-cassette or four-cassette ATM at each location. Country of operation many also dictate whether you need a two-cassette or four-cassette ATM. UK-based ATMs in less busy locations may need only two cassettes - UK machines generally dispense only £10 or £20 notes. However, in countries such as India the ATMs dispense four denominations of banknote, prompting the need for four-cassette ATMs. You will also need a spare set of cassettes for each ATM so the empty cassettes can be filled while your installed cassettes are dispensing cash. Each two-cassette ATM will therefore need four cassettes; each four-cassette ATM will need eight cassettes.
