Career Paths

Career Paths

Nearly every function of our business is performed in-house so we have a wide variety of career opportunities available. Here is some information about the areas of our business that we grow most frequently.

Production

Production is at the centre of the business, a group of multi-skilled teams who work to repair modules, refurbish ATMs and strip machines for parts. Set within a well-equipped workshop environment the team are responsible for producing the company’s products. Their work consists of taking apart old or damaged ATMs inspecting, testing and repairing parts so that they may be re-used. Alongside the diagnosis and repair of new and known electrical and mechanical faults. A career in Production would suit you if you have a practical and logical approach and enjoy being hands-on.

Vicente Team Leader

"I joined the company as a Production Technician. I applied for the role as the opportunity to work in a multiskilled team really appealed to me. My role had a lot of variety and I was able to move around the different teams to develop and learn. I had a particular interest in the electrical engineering aspects of Production so concentrated on developing in that area, training to become a Test and Inspector. Thanks to these additional training opportunities, and the mentoring and guidance that your Team Leader provides, I was successful in securing a promotion to become the Electronics Cell Leader. I am now on a development path and hope to become a Production team Leader in the near future!"

Warehousing

The warehousing function at TestLink incorporates several teams including; Stores, Logistics, Goods in and Dispatch, and together they are the gateway of our business. The teams organise and deliver everything the company produces, in the most effective and efficient way, as well as receiving and distributing all of the materials required. A career in Warehousing would suit you if you’re methodical, team-orientated and enjoy a practical role.

Sue Senior Inventory Controller

"I joined the company in 2015 as a Customer Inventory Controller, my role was to receive faulty parts from our regional stocking locations around the country and then forward these to our Production workshop for repair, as well as dispatching finish production from the workshop out to field engineers and regional stocking locations. I was given the opportunity to learn different parts of the function, shadow the Senior Inventory Controller, and step in to cover for annual leave. I really enjoyed getting the chance to liaise with our Customers and coordinate the days work for my team, after a year I secured a promotion so now I get to do that all the time."

Management

Our management teams are the thread that pulls all the different functions of our business together. They work to ensure we are continually improving in terms of the efficiency and the effectiveness of what we do, from the Senior Management team leading the delivery of our strategy through to the Production Management team balancing the volumes of project and routine work orders. A key part of the role for all our Managers is to mentor and develop the leadership of tomorrow, in fact 70% of our current managers were developed and promoted internally. A career in management would suit you if you have a strategic mind, can work calmly under pressure and have the communication skills to lead and inspire people.

Ruben Production Manager

"I originally started my career with TestLink as a Production Technician. I’ve always been interested in how things work and problem-solving, and although I had been working in hospitality before I discovered TestLink, it proved to be the perfect opportunity to switch careers and enter into the world of engineering. After only 6 months I was successful in securing a promotion and became a Cell Leader. This gave me a great opportunity to demonstrate my leadership and communication skills, and introduce some of the ideas I had for production improvements. TestLink are really good at spotting talent and providing opportunities to develop. At the beginning of 2018 I progressed to became a Production Team Leader and now 1 year later I have been rewarded with a promotion to Assistant Production Manager. TestLink place a lot of focus on developing talent and promoting from within the business, so it’s the ideal place to turn a job into a career"

Ruben, Assistant Production Manager

Procurement

The Procurement Department feeds the company’s activity, providing vital parts for Production to repair and refurbish, services and supplies for the Head Office and piece parts and modules for the Sales team. The department delivers the end to end supply chain function, including procurement planning, sourcing, purchasing, contract management, logistics support and inventory management. A career in Procurement would suit you if you have an entrepreneurial spirit, enjoy negotiation and working with numbers and you want a dynamic and varied role.

Naomi Junior Buyer

"I joined TestLink as a Junior Buyer. Previously I had completed an apprenticeship and then gained some commercial experience in a role supporting procurement, so the Junior Buyer position was the ideal role to utilise this experience and progress my career. I love the challenge of working on multiple projects and interacting with nearly every part of the business. My role is providing me with the opportunity and flexibility to build a broad knowledge base, develop professionally and sharpen my skills"

Sales and Account Management

Our Sales and Account Management teams are the face of our business. They both represent our customers within TestLink and represent TestLink with our customers. They are tasked with identifying the right opportunities for us to partner with a business so we can maximise the life and availability of the ATM estates they are responsible for. They build and nurture relationships, articulate the great things we do for our customers and secure the business that helps our company grow. A career in Sales or Account Management would suit you if you have great communication skills, a passion for developing business and love to work with people.

Seb Part Sales Manager

"I joined TestLink back in 2002 and a lot has changed in that time. As a company revolved around a technical product, we naturally have a need to continually evolve. I originally joined the company as a technician and worked my way up through the business in technical roles. Last year I was asked to consider a move to Sales. I was keen to continue developing and contributing to the success of TestLink, and after 16 years this change brought a whole new challenge. I am now the Part Sales Manager, together with our team of Sales Executives we sell ATM parts across the globe. My existing management skills together with my in-depth technical and industry knowledge means I can provide the ideal support, guidance and training for our Sales team to thrive and succeed."

Seb, Part Sales Manager

Quality and Engineering

Both our Quality and Engineering teams are pivotal to ensuring we are at the forefront of our industry and remain the ATM experts. Quality is the guardian of our superior level of workmanship, they ensure high production standards are maintained and the best materials for the job are used. Engineering are working to solve complex faults and discover and introduce more efficient or reliable processes. Together they work to develop preventative repair techniques and adapt the business to evolving technologies.

Martin Technical Support Manager

"I’ve been with the company for 13 years now and in that time I’ve performed different roles, all within TestLink’s Engineering functions. My role involves keeping abreast with industry changes, new ATM models and ATM usage and fault trends. I provide training and advice to customers and other areas of the business all centred around maximising the uptime of ATMs and minimising the need for repairs."
