Last night saw the awards ceremony event for the Blackmore Vale Business Awards which TestLink were honoured to attend as finalists in the Exporter Business of the Year category.

The honour was extended even further once the category winner was announced and it was revealed that we'd won!

Thrilled beyond words and humbled to the core - especially given the calibre of competitors in our particular category (you can read more about them and all of our fellow finalists here) - it topped off what proved to be a fantastic night all round. It's safe to say that a great time was had by all.

The award itself means a lot to us for a number of reasons;

First and foremost, it recognises the hard work and dedication of our team and this can’t be stressed enough. It highlights that our services expand to far beyond just the UK and shines a light on our team of superstar employees based all over the world. It’s also a chance to thank our team for not only the outstanding work they do each and every day in their routine environments but for the sacrifices they make when they’re involved in outside-work-hours travel; whether that’s missing a family dinner or having to find cover for the mid-week exercise class they teach.

It’s also a reminder for all of us here to take stock of everything the business has achieved. Constantly pushing forward in growing a successful company off the back of 28 years’ experience means that we rarely have time to stop and appreciate what we’re doing right. The advantage of this reflection is a renewed drive to remain award winners rather than rest on our laurels - to ensure that we regularly review what can be improved to keep winning the recognition for our staff that they truly deserve.

It's been a fantastic few months in terms of company recognition with this certainly being a shiny, diamond-shaped trophy on the cake. We still have a few more ceremonies to come before the year’s out (watch this space - we'll keep you posted as to how we get on!) but to receive this acknowledgement in such a prestigious award gives us the wonderful sense that we're keeping customers happy and is sure to keep a smile on our faces for many weeks to come.

Well done again to all the nominees, finalists, event organisers and of course our own marvellous team!
